2017/02/18 Tournament Report

So, today was the first Imperial Assault tournament held in my city in nearly a year. It was a ton of fun to get back into the swing of things. We got six people, which was about average for what it was a year ago, which is a good sign for going forward.

Today I ran the Dewback Brigade, which was the subject of a recent article. The list was a ton of fun and worked pretty well. I tried to take photos at the end of each round, but failed to remember most of the time. I got a few from the first game, got the entirety of the second, but failed to photograph any of the final game, much to my chagrin.

Building a List #2 - Dewback Brigade

So this Saturday is the first Imperial Assault tournament in my city in several months, so I'm quite excited as several old players are returning from the woodworks. It'll probably be quite small, five or six at the most, but it's a good first step at bringing the game back. In celebration of this event, I'm going to be making a new list and writing an article about it. This time, the Dewback Brigade.

This is a list I've been wanting to run ever since we got our eyes on the Dewback, having one unique and a generic elite. I can run three dewbacks? I'm running three dewbacks. This is going to be the centerpoint of the list.

Building a List #1 - IG-88

This will be the first in a series of articles on the subject of list building. In these articles, I plan to go through the steps of making a list, going from picking the units to deciding on a general strategy.

This article is going to focus on our newly improved assassin droid, IG-88. For those that haven't seen it, a new card, Focused on the Kill, has come and drastically improved what was once the worst unit in the Scum faction. Due to this, I'll be making my first list in this series highlighting him.

Recent Errata - Effects and Controversy

On January 12th, 2017, FFG released a rules update (which you can find here). There were a few changes, most minor, but one very significant one.
